The Pennington Biomedical Research Center and Foundation will be closed for the holidays from Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January 1st. We will re-open on Wednesday, January 2nd.

INFORMATION CONCERNING CHARITABLE GIFTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS TO THE PENNINGTON BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION:

As you are making your plans for the holidays and your final year-end donations for the 2018 tax year, we hope that you include the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation.  Foundation personnel will be available during the holidays to accept your charitable contributions prior to year-end.  Here is how you can complete your gift to the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation by year end:

Gifts by Check

U.S. Postal Service:
Gift checks mailed via U.S. Postal Service with a postmark and check date on or before December 31, 2018 will be counted for 2018 regardless of when they are received by Pennington.

Hand Delivery:
You may hand-deliver your check to Pennington on or before Friday, December 21, 2018.  In addition, checks may be delivered to the Security department at the Pennington Biomedical during the holiday closure period.  Security personnel can be contacted at 763-2508.

Gifts by Credit Card

Gifts by credit card are effective for tax purposes on the date the credit card is chargedPlease do not e-mail credit card information to the Foundation.  Rather, you may use one of the options below:

U.S. Postal Service:
Your credit card gift via mail must be received by the Foundation no later than Thursday, December 20, 2018.  After December 14th, you may prefer to make your gift online, by telephone, or in person to insure that your gift is processed in time to count for 2018 tax purposes.

Online:
The deadline for processing an online gift by credit card is 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on Monday, December 31, 2018.  You can make your gift using our secure online giving form:  https://pbrf.org/giving/donate-now/.

Gifts of Investment Securities

A gift of securities requires ample planning time in order to receive credit for 2018 and depends on the type of investment security (stock, mutual fund, etc.) that will be donated, and how it is transferred or delivered to the Foundation.  Please contact Brad Jewell, our Senior Vice President/Chief Financial & Operating Officer, at 225-763-2684 or brad.jewell@pbrf.org for further information concerning these types of gifts and timing requirements.
