Kristy Mayes is Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation’s director of development. She has been actively involved in non-profit development and fundraising in the Baton Rouge community. Her experience includes 17 years in professional development and several years as a volunteer.
Over the years, Mayes has led many professional fundraising campaigns for organizations such as Greater New Orleans Area United Way, Capital Area United Way, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Runnels School. In addition, Mayes has worked in sales and training for Bristol Myers Squibb Company and Dale Carnegie Training.
In her most recent position as the development director of Kids’ Orchestra, Mayes transformed its individual giving initiatives into a successful annual event, tripling their annual donor base.
As an avid volunteer, she is skilled at bringing resources to help meet the needs of many organizations throughout the Baton Rouge area. She is an active member of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Capital Area Network.
Mayes is a communications graduate of Loyola University and is an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi Baton Rouge Alumnae Chapter.
