Rebecca F. Schutte

Rebecca Schutte is the president/chief executive officer for the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation. She previously served as Director of Donor Services at the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF) where she managed donor relations, engagement, and grantmaking.  Prior to BRAF, Rebecca held positions at Innovations for Poverty Action, the World Bank, and the Center for Global Development. Rebecca also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer for girls’ education and empowerment in Burkina Faso.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Chicago, and her Master’s degree in development economics and international business relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
